Loved this little place for our 20-year wedding anniversary this evening. The service was awesome, the recommendations were perfectly suited to our taste, the food was great, and the wine was the cherry on top. Thank you
This was the second time that we visited this restaurant. The first time we visited was almost 3 years ago, and back then it was a good set menu that offered fresh dishes at a reasonable price. This time proved to be a big deception. It seemed as though they chose to prioritise quantity over quality. It almost looked like they tried to cram even more tables into an already small space to maximise the amount of people they could not serve for the day. Most of the dishes looked nothing like they were “advertised” on Instagram. I wanted the Terrine Gibier which was apparently unavailable and due to unavailability was substituted with a Foie Gras ? that was obviously just 2 pieces of toasted bread and 2 slices of foie gras. I changed it to a risotto which was not warm and seemed to be served way too fast for it to be freshly prepared and was undercooked… Apart from that, service was slow it took over 27 minutes to get to even order our entrées and the accompanying wine that I initially tasted that would be paired with the foie gras was not replaced, but rather the glass got filled with the same sweet wine instead of one that would’ve worked with the risotto. This feels outrageous knowing they charged us 12 euros per glass of cheap wine easy to look up on Vivino and available in supermarkets . None of these wines were actually remarkable enough to rationalise such a steep price. My main course consisted of the slow-cooked pork Cochon that was cooked for 8 hours. Apparently on a too high temperature as it was too dry, both on the outside as on the inside. The wine they accompanied it with could only be described as dry, and did not add anything to the dish. We left paying a little under 150 euros in total and with a feeling of deception and grief about our choice to visit again without consulting other reviews here on Google. As we say in Dutch: “mosterd na de maaltijd” we read in reviews here that they apparently paid for reviews on Telegram. The cherry on top was that the staff fumbled for around 20 minutes or more to get us a bill to pay..? I cannot recommend this place anymore. I feel disappointed and overcharged. I sincerely hope they will read this review and improve the restaurant.
