We started with the fish soup,... read more Le Duc confirms why it's a Parisian institution for seafood. Impeccable ingredients and classic cuisine executed with precision. We started with the fish soup, rich and complex, accompanied by a well-prepared rouille that added character to the broth. The clams in cream and thyme sauce were a highlight: juicy, perfectly opened, and enveloped in a silky, aromatic sauce. (It was impossible not to eat half a bread basket with the remaining sauce! The fried baby squid with curry leaves added a spicy contrast to a mostly classic menu. For our main course, we chose sole, cooked to perfection, with delicate flesh and a clean flavor, accompanied by perfectly whipped butter. The Sancerre Comte Lafond 2024 paired flawlessly with the entire menu. In addition to being professional, the service was exceptionally warm and friendly. Both waiters and the sommelier provided attentive, relaxed, and even fun service, which elevates the experience and breaks with the rigidity that classic restaurants sometimes have.
