My daughter and I had dinner here during our Paris visit. This was recommended to us by our tour concierge. Food was excellent, drinks were good and the service was wonderful. Get there early or you'll have to wait for a table. View all feedback.
What Corinne Moreno doesn't like about La Cantine du Troquet:
Nous avions découvert il y a 1 an la cantine du troquet.Très déçu par notre dernière visite service express et cuisine sans surprise, une cantine plutôt chic devenu plutôt ordinaire et donc à un rapport qualité/prix injustifié. View all feedback.
Walking down Boulevard De Grenelle we stopped at looked at the menu card outside this great looking tavern ,not sure if it was meals only we started to move on when a very pleasant member of staff gained our attention and asked if we were interested in visiting here ,in my broken French I explained we were only after a beer , in perfect English he said not a problem ,gestured were we wanted to sit ,we chose to stand at the serving bar were we ordered a beer each ,beers were served in excellent condition ,we chilled out and took in the great tavern we were in ,as this tavern had only just opened up for the busy Saturday ahead we were about the first customers of the day and could appreciate what a great looking tavern this is. Interior is superb ,a great looking serving bar ,wonderful decor and furnishings and lots of seating options both inside and outside looking out onto the always busy and bustling Boulevard De Grenelle. My beer was really good ,a light and hoppy local beer bursting with taste and just so easy to drink ,it was nice planning out the day ahead while sipping our beers in such a beautiful tavern. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and for a first time visit to here we had a great time. La Cantine De Troquet Dupleix is easy to locate along Boulevard De Grenelle ,a street and area teeming with pubs, bars ,cafés and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from midday. Well worth checking out if you're in the 15th Arrondissement .
Wonderful dinner experience. We based our visit on the great comments we read online and it didn't disappoint. The waiter was very helpful, spoke English and went through the menu with us. He made recommendations and gave our boys a children's size meal. My partner orders, pigs ears and the deer. I ordered the scallops and the fish in a Thai clam broth. All our foods was absolutely delicious! The best French food we ate in Paris.
If you are looking for at non-internationalize place ; this is it! The menu is French and the waiters speak French (only) but all with charming flair! The food came quick we got a steak, it was cooked perfectly - almost crisp on the out side, pink and red. Along with redwine sauce and french fries (not the best but ok - the steak is worth it) We had dessert aswell, and a bottle of wine and was very full when we left. The atmosphere in and around was amazing and I would recommend it to everyone!

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, we were making our way back from the Eiffel Tower and didn't want to eat in the couple of restaurants prominent on the first street corner. We then came across La Cantine Du Troquet and liked the sound of the classic French menu. Two of the customers sitting outside told us that the food was really good and they weren't wrong. The wait staff were very helpful in explaining the menu and we were not disappointed in our choice - just wish we'd discovered this restaurant earlier in our stay.
