We were travelling as a family of young kids) to see Family in Brittany with a pitstop in Paris. We arrived in Paris around dinner time into our apartment and wanted something quick and healthy at home. My husband is also a vegetarian. We both ordered a Maxi salad. The concept is that you can compose' your own salad from a large variety of ingredients. You can choose a number of items from a list...I think it was items for a Maxi, and you can add even more items for an additional charge -I picked quinoa and spinach, avocado, smoked salmon, broccoli, falafel and red onion (which is one of the free topping) with Caesar sauce. The food arrived quickly and well packaged. They gave pots of your chosen salad dressing which was generous as I found was enough. The salad with delicious with a great combination of textures and flavours. They were generous with the smoked salmon as I felt there was some in almost every bite. There was attention to each component too as the broccoli tasted as if it had already been dressed. Usually I'm a bit hesitant to take salads when eating out as I usually worry that I'm still going to be hungry afterwards, but I found the Maxi size was substantial and satisfying. I found it such a great option for a quick and healthy, veggie packed meal which really helps to avoid the standard fast food chains, particularly when you are travelling and don't want to sit down to a restaurant meal. It also really helps to up your vegetable quota when enjoying the rest of the the delights of French and Breton cuisine...Galettes, Fruits de Mer, moules frites!!For euro for a Maxi salad the price is perhaps a little high but I would still definitely eat here again. I think you get what you pay for... which is a delicious, satisfying, fresh, healthy meal, with quality ingredients.
