The Café Dapper has recently been taken over by a young Franco-Ivoirien chef, Loic Dable. On Friday & Saturday nights there is an excellent "menu gastronomique" - amuse-bouche, 2 entrées, 2 plats, 2 desserts - for 45€. All the dishes are examples of Franco-African "fusion food" and pretty good they were too. There was a sweet potato purée, a really excellent gambas in papillotte, beef, cod, chocolat ganache and poached pear. All the dishes either had "exotic" accompaniments or sauces. All were at worst "interesting" and at best, delicious. The portions were quite small so you were not stuffed at the end of the meal. When combined with a visit to the excellent exhibition in the Musée Dapper this makes for a most unusual and agreeable night out.My two complaints. The small tables (for 2) in the middle of the seating area are accompanied by folding chairs! I think this is a bit downmarket for a restaurant with any pretentions! Secondly, the chef came out of the kitchen a few times to greet and chat with guests. Although we were there most of the evening he didn't address one word to us - because we were speaking English??? Whatever, he could at least have said "bonsoir". I thought it very rude. The waiter was, however, excellent

Have passed this museum/cafe a hundred times. Finally went though I'm not a fan of African art. Cafe is okay. Right up the street from the Embassy of the Republic of the Congo.

Small but fascinating museum that should stand on anybody's agenda interested in primitive art: run by a private foundation, it houses temporary exhibits that are focussing on a specific thematic with a display of rare artefacts chosen for their greatest quality.A guided tour is a must and stories may be told to younger children in conection with the exhibition.A rare place for art lovers.
