Quick stop over lunch and it was absolutely delicious. There are few tables inside very nice decor, clean environment and nice soul jazz background music, friendly waiter. The crepes are made right at the centre of the restaurant behind the bar. Buckwheat crepe was ultra thin but moist and and really delicious (egg mushroom salad). The sweet one (fresh honey) was also really really nice the crepe folded in a certain way has a very interesting texture from ultra thin edges to a thick center with layers. Lots of love went into this, best ingredients and everything was perfect.
Visited their stand at the Bastille market and the crepes and galette’s they served were great. Made from buckwheat they tasted really nice. Only negative, maybe cook them with a little less butter, were a touch greasy.
Romain special crepe was amazing (hope your cast comes off soon! he was a great server. Buckwheat crepes amazing. Chocolate crepes amazing. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!
Bretons was the HIGHLIGHT of my visit to Paris. I've visited twice and eaten at a few different creperies and this one blew the others out of the water. Located in the 11th arrondissement, you completely escape the tourist areas of Paris. The owner was incredibly hospitable and the food was exquisite. Handmade, right in front of you in their small kitchen/gala, at incredibly fair prices. The crepe I had for dessert was an evening special, a blueberry hazelnut crepe topped with whipped cream. You can't go wrong here; I will most definitely be back.
Possibly the best crepe and galette in paris. recommended by my physio there is a bit of a waiting queue around 8 o'clock. I had the galette complete and milk cream with extra milk cream they are both beautiful, light, the cheese galette was not too cheesy, the sweet was not too sweet. came at 8:00 clock and managed to finish both in 30 minutes!
