What Brenda Kaye doesn't like about Tomato Pie Pizza Joint:
The pizza was burnt on the the crust, yet somehow the sausage seemed undercooked. Not even hot. Ordered it with light sauce. So we got zero sauce. The breadsticks were dripping with oil. So much the cheese wouldn't stick to them when dipped in. The staff was friendly in their booty shorts and skirts, which I assume is a reflection on management preference. Food: 1 View all feedback.
Friendly atmosphere. It was a great place to eat, and later in my relationship with the establishment, it was a wonderful place to work. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The pizza here is fantastic, and I'm really glad they persevered through COVID to stay in business. It's a cozy little pizza place in a small town, but the quality is excellent, and the staff is really friendly. Make sure to grab a slice—you can thank me later!
When I heard TPP was reopening, I thought it was great news and decided to check it out to see if there were any improvements compared to the original restaurant. So tonight, I ordered takeout over the phone, and they assured me it would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived 30 minutes later, provided my name, paid for the pizza, and waited for it to be ready. After five minutes passed, then ten, I noticed a pizza that looked like my order sitting on the prep counter. There were three people at the counter, but only one was working on assembling my pizza. He kept coming and going, occasionally adding ingredients as he passed by. Finally, at the 15-minute mark, my pizza was complete and pushed to the end of the counter, where it sat for a few minutes before someone finally put it in the oven. The oven attendant kept opening the door and rearranging the pizza, and after an additional five minutes, it was taken out, cut, and boxed. To my disappointment, however, it was placed in the warming oven instead of being handed to me. Three different staff members checked the warming oven and then walked away without taking my pizza. Meanwhile, servers strolled past me to attend to customers at tables. Eventually, someone asked for my name. I told her, she checked the warmer, removed my pizza, and handed it to me—without acknowledging the lengthy wait, which had now exceeded 20 minutes past the promised pickup time. So, what’s the takeaway? It seems nothing has changed at the new Tomato Pie. The pizza was salty and definitely not worth the price. Will I return? Unlikely. I've had better pizza and value from Casey's, and they have earned my business.

The pizza's crust was burnt, yet the sausage felt undercooked and was barely warm. I specifically ordered it with light sauce, but it came with none at all. The breadsticks were so greasy that the cheese wouldn’t stick to them when I dipped them. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, dressed in their short shorts and skirts, which I assume reflects management’s choices. Overall, I would rate the food a 1 out of 5.
