Albergue Mercadoiro has private rooms that feel like a warm hug from history, with thick stone walls and old wooden beams that make the space feel incredibly authentic. It's spotless and cozy, but the real magic is looking out the window or sitting in the garden and seeing the rolling green hills of Galicia stretching out in front of you. It's also a perfect spot to drop your pack and enjoy a great lunch. It's a peaceful little sanctuary that reminds you why you started this walk in the first place.
Stopped here today place was locked up tight and had a for sale sign correct me if I am wrong but maybe it is closed?
Good place to get early breakfast for cafe con leche and tuna empanada was great. We didn’t have a chance to stay in the albuerge but the location was nice , bathroom is clean. They serve sangria and lotsa wine didn’t have a chance to try it though. Definitely a place to try.
We stopped for lunch here on Day 1 of the Camino. It was a pinch yourself moment. Beautiful setting and views, bocadillos and beer that tasted sooooo good. Didn’t see the rooms but the whole set up was beautiful and would seek this place out if I was doing the Camino again.
