A wonderful evening has just ended, featuring a delicious four-course meal and fantastic musical accompaniment! Everything was superbly organized and absolutely worth seeing!

The beds are f... read more A lovely hotel with a great atmosphere. The decor, reminiscent of the old shipyard in many places, has real charm. Everything feels high-quality. The beds are fantastic. The soundproofing between floors and rooms is excellent. The entire complex is bright and welcoming. Ample free parking is available directly at the hotel. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the breakfast. The staff is very friendly.

Rooms were a little on the basic side with hardwood flooring and plastic like fabric for curtains. Tv also seemed tiny i would estimate its size to be around 32... read more Rooms were a little on the basic side with hardwood flooring and plastic like fabric for curtains. Tv also seemed tiny i would estimate its size to be around 32 or maybe just a shade bigger.However the hotel staff were excellent and went over and beyond in helping me to book a cab at an ungodly hour and they also provided me with a takeaway doggybag in place of a breakfast I had paid for but could not use or take advantage off. I did initially ask for a refund but was told this was the only option available to me. Food at this hotel was another story, I had one meal in the hotel resteraunt and found it be exceptional. They didnt have any halal options but the seafood options were really very decent. Breakfast options were also pretty good. Hotel was within walking distance of shops and resteraunts.

The food is very ta... read more Beautiful hotel, converted from a former shipyard building. Nice, clean rooms. The hotel is a bit dated, though, and so are the furnishings. The food is very tasty, but not much different than other upscale hotels. The location, practically in the town center, is beautiful, by the canal and perfect for strolling through Papenburg in the evening. Parking is sometimes a bit limited, but sufficient.
