Pearl Kitchen - Papamoa
Pearl Kitchen
Description
Tucked beside a neighborhood grocery and close to the beach, this low‑key café draws diners with excellent coffee, inventive brunch plates and talented chefs. Most guests praise friendly, efficient service, complimentary sparkling water and ample free parking, though experiences vary: some report curt staff or occasional bland/overcooked dishes. Prices skew premium, and seating is casual rather than for lingering. Overall it’s a popular spot for brunch-goers, regulars and coffee lovers seeking well-crafted food in a relaxed setting.

My favourite salad in all of the Bay of Plenty area is found here at pearl kitchen. I love it. 10/10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Amazing atmosphere, lovely service but the food despite looking gorgeous was lacking a lot of flavor. I don't want to seem like I'm overreacting but my partner and I couldn't really taste anything. That surprised us, especially the bacon. Not sure how that didn't have any flavor. The fritas were also burned. Maybe we got unlucky and it was a bad day in the kitchen. Service: Dine in
Have been to Pearl several times over 2 years and it's always a delight. Friends have had the same experience and we all have to drive over a mountain range to get there. Staff are friendly and competent; the sparkling water is complimentary, it's size is warm, we can sit inside or out, parking is shared with a small very good supermarket, we sometimes walk across to the beach and food and coffee are very good. Service: Dine in
