the service was excellent and our meal was delicious. we had the best ceviche it was the rehearsal of 3 decisions. our waiter was very helpful and friendly. this was our first time in panama and our one-year anniversary and we are happy to have celebrated in masi. we hope to come back to masi and panama city soon! Drinks were too sweet and food was tough panamarian steak med-rare and see bass was over cooked Sauces were good as was bread but over priced and tourist focused. View all feedback.
Beautiful setting and environment. Nice variety of food.
The good was poor quality. I ordered surf n’ turf. The steak meat was poor quality, very tough to chew and unseasoned. I ordered medium rare. The inside was completely uncooked not even rare) and the outside was overcooked. It was evident that they don’t use meat thermometers! The so called turf, was supposed to be 4 petite lobster tails. It looked like 4 dried shrimp on top of a lobster tail shell with garnishing. The meat was dry and very unseasoned.
We went to dinner. Exaggeratedly well-qualified. The attention is bad, the menu is very unchanged, many waiters are very low. The food takes up to 45 minutes. Nobody offers you anything. MALO !!!
Wonderful experience at Masi. We stayed at the JW for a week so had breakfast daily at Masi. We also had lunch, and dinner a few times. The breakfast buffet was great. Fresh juices, fruits and delicious breakfast items. I won’t waste your time telling you about all the items available, they were all great. Let’s get to the star of the show. SERVICE! The employees there are all so welcoming, and accommodating. Amelio was WONDERFUL. We sat with him for breakfast our entire stay. He only needed one day to remember our names, how we liked our food, and drink preferences. I’m sure he served dozens of people daily, so this shows how good he is at his job. He knew when to step in and hold a great conversation, but could also tell when we were having a business discussion and would clear tables quietly and quickly. This is the type of employee that makes a business successful. If Masi was my business, all new wait staff would have to train with Amelio. By the time we left it felt like we were saying goodbye to an old friend. Definitely visit Masi for some wonderful food, we didn’t have a bad meal there. But when you go, make sure to ask for our friend Amelio. Honorable mention. Hasel at reception was very sweet and welcoming. The perfect person to have greet, and help guest as they enter the restaurant. Very accommodating, and proactive. After our first day she remembered our names, where we liked to sit, and that Amelio was our guy. She took the time to ask how our stay was, and how our daughter was enjoying herself. Definitely the type of employee that should be recognized. I don’t remember the other employees name but he was a big guy that worked with Amelio. Those guys were like a well oiled machine. Stepping in to help each other out. We watched as these guys made busy times look like easy work. Many thanks, Elliot
If you like fish, Masi/Seafood is the restaurant to go. The whole fired fish is always made perfect, I have eaten several times here.
