My pizza was nice, although both me and my partner had higher expectations. What bothered us most was the service. When we entered, we felt awkward being stared at by the kitchen personnel who gave the impression they were laughing at us. If you need a touristy place with English speaking staff and menus in German and English (and Mandarin? to feel welcome then this place is not for you-there are a few thousand of those just minutes away. However if you are looking for a charming local pizza place, with friendly waiters who don’t speak English but will do their best to help you this is it. Remember YOU are the one not speaking the local language not the other way around And then you will be rewarded with the BEST pizza you have ever had in your life!

L'Archestrato in Gela has been offering, in my opinion, the best pizza in Palermo and its province for years now. The ingredients are of the highest quality, the dough is soft and light. The staff is highly professional and always available to satisfy every request. The price is high but in line with what is now the price of a pizza at all the top pizzerias in the city. I would only review the dessert menu in order to include something more classic, instead removing some decidedly anonymous desserts
