When visiting Sicily's smaller cities and towns, it's helpful to establish a presence at a café/bar (bar in the Italian sense, where people stop for coffee, pastry, gelato or a quick lunch or to sit and talk) so you can get a feel for the town and also get good advice about what to see and what to eat. What VCB 10 doesn't like about Sicilia:
At certain times of the year, it can be a challenge to find a spot in the sun for coffee, but this, opposite the town hall, is one such; in the morning at least. Popular place with good coffee and cakes. Few one-arm bandits at the back! View all feedback.

The people at Caffe Sicilia (owners and regulars) were very friendly. On my first stop, I had a hearty slice of potato pizza, coffee and water for a mere 4 euros, and a great view of the piazza, including gorgeous Chiesa di San Sebastiano. The piazza is also where many people of the town take their evening walk. The owners were obviously very proud of their town and very helpful.
