After being “tricked” by the sea side coffee places that serve you coffee from capsules, we were looking for a proper coffee place that makes coffee from scratc... read more After being “tricked” by the sea side coffee places that serve you coffee from capsules, we were looking for a proper coffee place that makes coffee from scratch (grinding the beans and using a proper barista machine). We found Itaca on google maps and took a look at how they serve the coffee. It was what we call proper coffee. The staff is polite and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The coffee tasted like a proper Italian coffee.

It’s a shame , this place used to be good, I would often come here and I would always recommend it to all my students but after my last visit the staff possibly... read more It’s a shame , this place used to be good, I would often come here and I would always recommend it to all my students but after my last visit the staff possibly owner were not so pleasant which very much the matched the drinks we ordered, when we asked the staff about the drinks or “lack of” they went straight on the defensive and asked if we were calling them liars, there was no customer service or any idea of what is required to make an Irish coffee! The price was extortionate for what we had, basically €10 for a hot sugary water with chantilly on top, no taste of whiskey or coffee, you couldn’t even smell either of them in the glass. This place for me is now dead in the water and I definitely will not be recommending it to anyone. If I could give it minus stars I would.

Coffee was good, my daughter enjoyed her ice-cream. It was reasonably priced. I'd go there again
