The best fish and chips around pakey. We got grilled fish, potato cakes, crab sticks, homemade steamed dim sims, chips and deep fried mini Mars bar. Everything came hot and cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed this fish and chip shop and never had any issues until yesterday when I ordered some chips and a fish bite. The fish was soggy and undercooked. I spent half the night dealing with food poisoning and only started feeling better today. I won’t be coming back again. View all feedback.
Very, very tasty and plentiful kebab. This must be the perfect place to recover from a hangover or lead into one. I ordered a mixed kebab and the volume of meat was spot on, perfect ratio of filling, bread and sauces. It was well wrapped with very little spillage and was very easy to manipulate without getting anything on your hands. Well done!
This isn't fine dining with white tablecloths, but that's exactly why I love it. The service is fantastic, and the kebabs are outstanding. These two qualities keep me and many others returning. One of my favorite meals is the mixed meat platter served with rice, along with two dips, a salad, and a roll. They also have a great loyalty card program, and their selection of traditional and continental cakes and slices is delightful. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a meal and still make it home in time for the football!
I believe this is the best kebab shop in the countryside. The atmosphere is friendly, and they offer a wide variety of kebabs packed with meat. In my opinion, they taste even better than those at Lambs on Lygon or Chapel.
The food is incredible, but the prices are outrageously high compared to other kebab places! I've stopped going there because the costs are excessive; it’s actually cheaper to fill up my car and drive to a different location.
Good country kebab. I've seen Pakenham as a name on a train line for years, but had never been there, so I took the Met out there one workless Sunday for a exploratory walkabout. That didn't take long. Seeing what there is to see in downtown Pakenham, that is. Takes twice as long to train ride out there as it does to ramble around the town centre. I wanted something to eat on the ride back, and Pakenham Kebabs was one of the few places open on Sunday. The $10 mixed meat kebab I had was good lots of tasty lamb meat on it (didn't see as much chicken, which is OK with me. The veg was fresh, there was enough yoghurt sauce and meat grease to moisten it, the pita wrap was nicely chewy. Nothing fancy, just a good kebab, fine train food. The Turkish items on Pakenham Kebab's menu looked enticing too.
