Love the Cracker Barrel in Gainsville. We had a few bad experiences at the Cracker Barrel in Killeen, so now we go to the Cracker Barrel's in Temple and Gainsville. THEY NEVER DISAPPOINT! Great fast service, well cooked food that is served hot and fresh. View all feedback.

The cook must have a problem reading the order Ash for over medium eggs got over easy as for extra crispy bacon got barely cooked it's getting more consistent of an order messed up every time View all feedback.
We've eaten at this location many times. But this visit , you could tell something was very different. They were taking names saying it would be ten minutes before we could be seated. I walked through the dining room and there were several vacant tables. Once we were seated and the waitress took our order, it was fairly normal. We order the same thing every time we eat at a Cracker barrel. The smoked chicken breast and pinto beans were barely warm and the roast beef that my husband had he said was not good it too was barely warm. The staff in the dining room was okay...they seemed somewhat untrained. Not sure if we'll stop at this location again.
Very slow getting the food out and the chicken was over cooked and the dumplings weren’t very good.
As formor employee of almost 4years with an honest insight of this location and it's best features and it's worst ones. From when I first got hired to when I left iv watched what used to be a well staffed and trained business even thru COVID turn into a place only on it's best days (with are 2 days out of the week on average) can still deliver good service. So your food/experience depends on when and what day you go on. Witch is not to say you won't have a good time cause they do have good food and some good quality workers still. What used to be a staff of nothing but well taught and knowledgeable employees and good management has turned into an inconsistent work environment. A problem that goes all the way if not past the regional manger decision that they were making profit but not enough profit therefore they cut the workers which put stress on the remaining workers got to make up slack. Over time that slack kept getting more and more over time. This combined with little to no pay raise unless your management has caused the loss of most of there employees that have had for years leave. And this business is not unique this happens a lot of businesses but Gainesville is a very small work pool of workers and not a huge growing city where they just always find someone they are able to use their franchise for new mangers to bring in but this is the problem. AT THE END IF THE DAY the management all goes home the same no matter how hard or rough there day at work was for there employees it doesn't effect them. And for workers who do everything asked and more go home wore out over worked and tried. Days like that went from a once and while /holidays to once a month to once a week(Sundays there busy day) to 3-5 days a week. And all you go to do to see proof of this look on the employees faces. Regular customers already know but love there favorite waitress or waiter and cracker barrels good food. So they sympathize or simply turn the other cheekwhen their experience is not what it used to be. But the problems that are plaguing this place won't stop or be fixed until they are brought to light and that has to start with simple things such as honest reviews where they be good or bad because this whole review I've made is actually unbiased I love that place I gave that place the hardest I've ever work somewhere I had an amazing time there and I've had terrible times there but in the end I left hoping for the best for that place but after a couple months something that I thought eventually would be picked up on as just been ignored so if anyone has any suggestions on where I can post also this information too that would greatly affect how this location Is ran I appreciate it. AGAIN NONE OF THIS IS TO SLANDER THIS BUSINESS I'M BEING HONEST AND ENCOURAGE EVERYONE YOU PLEASE GO AND TRY AND EXPERIENCE IT FOR THEMSELVES AND JUST MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS.
Waitresses were slammed when we were there. Service suffered a bit as we waited for others to be helped.
The speakers in the bathrooms were wayyyy loud, to the point of being offensive. Told management who said they turned it down, but it was still loud when we left.
