Flatbread Company - Paia
Flatbread Company
Description
Nestled in the vibrant town of Paia, this restaurant garners both praise and mixed reviews. Diners rave about the wood-fired pizzas and diverse toppings, though some found the salads underwhelming for their price. The vegan options have their proponents, particularly praised for their rich flavor sans cheese. While long wait times are common, many agree the food—especially the lilikoi cheesecake—makes it worth it. The service is generally friendly, and the casual atmosphere, complemented by an open kitchen, creates an inviting dining experience. For pizza lovers visiting Maui, this spot remains a noteworthy destination amidst the island’s culinary landscape.

I don't eat a lot of pizza, but this was a very tasty pizza. It was a lot of fun watching the pizza being made and how quickly this was done. Attentive staff as well. I can't think of adding anything else to what they already do! Great experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
So Good! So many options, including allergy friendly options! I'm so sorry I can't remember our waitresses' name, but she was fantastic! She was so thorough and wrote detailed notes to make sure our allergy restrictions were noticed and accommodated! We showed up with as a massive crowd with allergies to dairy, eggs, mushrooms, olive oil, and gluten and everyone could eat!! Would 100% recommend and go again if we ever make it back to the island!!
The best pizza I've ever had! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: No Boundaries Flatbread
No dressing on the salad til we asked for it, served me someone elses’s pizza then served me a burnt one. Sent it back to get a better one. Still meh. How can a pizza have zero flavor?? It was a pepperoni/mushroom pizza- one of the worst I’ve ever had. Total was $90- wasted money. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100
We really like the atmosphere here—a bit of a hippy surfer vibe with some fun original art. The pizza and drinks are good (not excellent) but priced well. I particularly liked how they posted where they sourced their ingredients from. The one major critique I have is the decorations and ceiling beams look like they haven’t been cleaned since the place was built so, if you’re a germ-a-phobe, don’t look up. But, all in all, would recommend. Food: 4
