I'm West Indian I like my food flavorful. And this was definitely a good option. We had a solid delicious meal. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The young man working there is very kind and tried his best to communicate with us even tho we spoke little Spanish. The roast chicken was flavorful and well seasoned and the green sauce did not disappoint View all feedback.
What Juan Tupe doesn't like about La Skinita Peruvian:
The food is alright at best but wouldn't really recommend. Not much flavor with anything we ordered but at least the food came out quick and the servers were nice. View all feedback.
They Switch my order with out my knowledge, and far is I know is disrespectful to the customer and the Peruvian food that is one of the best in the world
This restaurant needs workers that speak proper English. Food is good BUT I repeatedly find hair in my food. I ordered the fried rice with fish (chaufa rice) and there was at least 3 strands of hair in my food. Another time I ordered the same dish and there was a piece of Brillo pad in the fried rice. SMH. When they 1st opened they were really good. I believe with changing staff and chefs it becomes a problem.
This place was really clean, and I love all the plants and decor. That’s about it though. My food came out almost 30 minutes after the only other person at my table got his. That was an awkward half hour. The waitress really said it came out late “because they had to make it”. I had to hold my laughter. My food was cold like it was forgotten in the window for 30 minutes. I’ve worked in the food industry, and there’s no reason for a 30 minute wait between serving 2 people at the same table. There were only 2 other customers in the restaurant. Aside from that, the lomo saltado was dry and the chicha morada had an off-putting fermented smell instead of aromatic spices like other places. I like Peruvian cuisine but this was the worst Peruvian restaurant out of the 5 or 6 I been to.
The customer service is horrible in this place, no wonder the restaurant is always and I mean always empty, Last month I went with a few co workers and we waited 45 minutes for them to bring our food, I don't understand how customers came in after us and they were getting their food quicker then us. Today I went to pick up food for me and my coworkers and the customer service was horrible, I can see the cooks fooling around through the their kitchen window, and they were making side remarks with the waitresses. I don't know if they were making remarks towards me, but it was so unprofessional and it made me feel uncomfortable. And whats worse is that the food I brought to my co workers was horrible as hell, the arroz chaufa wasn't raw but wasn't fully cooked like the last time I went. The Fried Wanton was horrible as hell, some had cheese and the other portion had chicken, It was suppose to have pork. The sauce that goes with the Fried Wanton was horrible and it wasn't sweet at all. Maybe if the cooks paid more attention to cooking and less fooling around, the food would have been better. Horrible experience, I am so not going back.
