I mean, if a restaurant has been at the same location for so long it must have enough turnover to keep the business afloat.So last Friday a friend and I opened the front door to Bambus to a foul smell of old oil and a completely empty restaurant..... We walked across the sticky floor, sat down at a sticky table and were given dirty menus. I decided to go downstairs to the bathroom. Bad idea. The smell was horrible and no wonder, there was an unflushed poo in the loo !!!!As I made my way back upstairs, hoping that my friend hadn't ordered anything, so that we could make a quick getaway I walked past the buffet area.From maybe 15 stainless steel trays only 2 had something in them. These somethings were possibly a cupful of dried-out fried rice and one piece of something brown, resembling a small piece of roadkill. Maybe a mouse. It was definitely time to go and the waitress didn't blink an eyelid as we rushed out the door again.YUK YUK YUK

We were there on a Friday of 19 o'clock. the load was very empty, so the reservation we could have saved ourselves ;) we have taken a starter soup (my friend a... read more We were there on a Friday of 19 o'clock. the load was very empty, so the reservation we could have saved ourselves ;) we have taken a starter soup (my friend a Thai, I a Chinese) as well as a Thai à la carte court as the main course. both the suppe and the main dish were very tasty (and very large portions.) over the buffet we can say nothing - but looked in order. the service was flott and friendly. we cannot agree to the quality of the food for the à la carte dishes - the ingredients were very fresh!
