Cha-Da Thai Restaurant Padbury

Have been here many times and always enjoyed it. Tonight was very different. Ordered online and went to pick it up after receiving email to confirm the order was received. Arrived at desk to be told there was no order for me and asked if I 'd phoned the order through. I replied that I 'd ordered online and received confirmation. Rude lady at desk told me they don 't do online orders? Asked me where I had ordered from (like I 'd gone to the wrong place). Made me feel like I was to blame. Lovely customer behind me confirmed that she had ordered online, as I was starting to doubt myself. Person at desk then asked me if I wanted to place an order now, which I did. On payment she barked at me to, tap my card properly! I returned to my car to let my daughter know there was a 15 minute wait and we found a confirmation SMS on my phone from Cha-Da Thai, again confirming the order with their phone number, order number and details on it. I took this back into the store and showed them. She looked at it and walked away out the back, without saying anything. After giving me the food, there was no apology at all. The food we received was the worst Thai we 've ever had. Meat was so chewy and most of the container was liquid sauce. So very disappointed and will not be back!

Ordered a large delivery for Mother’s Day. Food arrived cold and was missing meals, despite been charged for them! Rang restaurant who argued with me that food was there, refused to fix and then hung up. Avoid at all costs

They say to try a place twice before writing a review…. The food is great don’t get me wrong but the first time they told me 30 minute wait and ended up being an hour and second time they said 25 and ended up being 45 minutes :

This is a small restaurant with a lot going for it, good food and service at a moddest price, plenty of close parking and no corkage, l have been there twice and it has been great both times, all dishes have been excellent.

We’ve had far better Thai. Massamam Curry was quite bland with tough pieces of beef floating around in a tasteless sauce. Stir fries were better but very salty. Pad Thai was very disappointing. Presentation was good. As the restaurant was packed the air conditioning struggled there was not enough wait staff.
