taste: assam milk tea (16 oz) (normal ice sugar) added: charcoal sea salt cheese milk cap price: php 98 (amt) php 30 (csscmc) php 128 my thoughts: this is my second military of the day pero infairness di ako naumay. I love how the assam black tea dominates the taste, but the whole milk tea quality does not affect. instead of adding perle / boba I decided to her charcoal sea salt cheese milk cap (ang sosyal pakinggan... What Loyce D'Amore doesn't like about The Dessert Kitchen:
It took a while for our orders to arrive, more than 30 minutes. I noticed it takes so much time creating their long list of mostly Asian inspired desserts. More than the combinations it entails, there is an art form to it We got 4 kinds, but really only 2 of them made an impression on me. My favorite here was their hot Sesame Rice Ball, supposedly placed on a coconut shell. It had a nice touch of coconut milk with co... View all feedback.
I've always wanted to try out the Dessert Kitchen, but every time I'm in Rockwell, I end up distracted and going elsewhere (Fully Booked most of the time, and then we end up snacking at Press lol). So I was pleased when they finally opened up a branch in Rob Ermita. There were no customers around when we passed by, so we decided to stop here. I got to try their.. Green Tea Milk: Really bitter, and I guess just what matcha should be?? Haha, I don't know but every time I order matcha, I just can't help but compare it to SB's (my favorite kind of matcha, the inauthentic matcha lol). Cinnamon ice cream: actually I'm not sure what it's called but I liked it a lot!! The ice cream was topped with cinnamon and I especially liked the baked bread thing (I forgot what it's called so much faaAail) - it was like eating a churro with ice cream so yep, this was a real winner for me! Also, I love that their spoon's shaped like a little shovel lol. Prices here are a bit on the... read more
Trying out this new dessert place occupying the previous Red Mango (still love their yogurt). After our ippudo date, i wanted something matcha. We ordered their parfait, taste of Uji. Looks promising. And so i thought... honestly, i was expecting a big parfait instead i had a children size parfait. It had sago at bottom admixed with red bean which was mildly sweet, layered with soft serve vanilla ice cream. The top was covered with matcha POWDER. From the picture, i was expecting matcha flavored ice cream. The ice cream was good though, creamy and not overly sweet. Overall, a little pricey, but it you have the $$, then go.
After our filling lunch at Ippudo, M, C and I walked around a bit -- searching for the perfect pair of white clinic / hospital shoes for C. After around an hour, and we gave up on the search already. We decided to have a "light" dessert. M mentioned that there is a newly opened dessert place in RP Manila: THE DESSERT KITCHEN! ???? Everyone agreed to give it a try. When we got there, M was looking for the raindrop cake, but unfortunately, it is not carried in this branch. ???? We tried the PURPLE IN LOVE instead. The three of us shared in one serving, since we were all still quite full (and to minimize our intake of sweet food). ✔ PURPLE IN LOVE (Php 258) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is an Ice Monster (do you remember this crowd favorite which boomed more than a decade ago?) type of dessert, with shaved ice and toppings. Purple in Love is a grape flavored dessert -- a flavor not commonly found on desserts in the PH! Grape shaved ice topped with taro / ube ice cream mochi balls, rice balls, fresh grapes, and grape seaweed balls -- you're in for a sweet treat when you order this. I especially loved the seaweed balls, because they were like popping bobba, but crunchier and firmer! ???? The ice cream mochi balls tasted great, too. The rice balls, on the other hand, were a bit soggy / too soft for my liking. I especially loved the areas of the shaved ice where there was milk -- which made the dessert creamier. ???? Make sure to eat this with someone else as it can be too sweet! ???? The place is quite small, and I feel like it would be better if they rent a store, instead of having their booth in their current location. A great ambiance will surely do great wonders for The Dessert Kitchen -- so their relatively pricey desserts will seem to be more worth it that they actually are. ???? #EatDrinkSplurge

The service here is quick though, only had to wait around 5 minutes for them to call my name so I could pick it up at the counter. gonicolec.wordpress.com
