One of my all time favorite spots around town. The atmosphere is unlike anywhere else on the peninsula. Shelburne is beautiful inside and out, a quiet, intimate setting with just the right amount of class that doesnt make you feel out of place dressed casually. The garden is beautiful, I could easily lose an afternoon enjoying the view with a drink on my own or with a friend. If you're visiting the peninsula this is... View all feedback.
What Jean Horton doesn't like about Shelburne And Pub:
Lovely food but tiny portions for high prices. I paid 30 bucks for 3oz of miso grilled fish, 5oz of green beans and a tablespoon of pickles mushrooms. 6 bucks for two slices of bread. Tasty but for that price and lack of food, no thanks. View all feedback.
Me and my boyfriend only had cocktails here, but we were very impressed with how quickly Debra was able to handle a lot of drink orders at once. She was kind and checked in on us multiple times, asking what we would like next when we were down to the last sip. We will be back here because of Debra's excellent customer service!
Food was really sad. Hamburgers -asked for Medium, served Well done, (had to have remade) small patty in middle of large bun, only toppings were Arugula and pickles. Rockfish was so so, fries overcooked and soggy. I asked for polenta instead of fries, worst polenta I've ever tasted, couldn't eat it. We were done eating by the time our friends burgers were remade. Waitress was okay, I felt bad for her that she had to serve such low quality food. This is the second time we've eaten at Shelburne, both times very disappointing.
Beware prices added on to your drinks for mixers!! Food was nicely presented and tasted amazing! Beware when you order drinks though. Prices are RIDICULOUS for the drinks! Whiskey in a SHORT glass was $14. Another $4 if you wanted a splash of coke with it. $18 for a Whiskey coke. Same price for my Wife's Vodka orange juice. Again, RIDICULOUS!! Would have given this place 5 stars across the board if it wasn't for the CRAZY bar prices!
This was a very unique spot. Lots of great tables for intimate conversations. Lots of room for bigger groups. The service was wonderful. The fish and chips was amazing, maybe the best I've had. I would highly recommend this spot. I would love to return.
We stopped in for lunch after a long hike at the state park. The sun was out and we got a seat on the deck. The sun was warm and the food was even better. Service was very good although they have a confusing tip regime built into the bill. I didn’t care but it seems the only place around with the tip regime. Don’t worry I left a larger tip than what you had built in. I would totally go back.
