**Restaurant Review: Yen Ching** Yen Ching evokes mixed feelings among patrons, with notable praise for its atmosphere and friendly service, contrasted by significant criticism of food quality and flavor. While some diners revel in the freshness of dishes like crab rangoons and garlic chicken, others lament bland offerings and disappointing textures, with reports of freezer-burnt chicken and unappealing sauces. The restaurant’s décor provides a cozy dining experience, supplemented by a quirky shop at the entrance. Although the service is often described as prompt and pleasant, the overall food experience leaves many longing for the depth of flavor and quality they once cherished, making consistent reviews hard to gauge.

The food was really fresh and hot. My husband and I ordered the moo goo chicken, and my son ordered General chicken. The only thing that was just ok was the egg rolls and crab Rangoon. They were both overcooked. Our waitress was wonderful. The interior of the restaurant is nice. The food is a little pricy.

Restaurant is unsafe for vegans, alphagal, or any with dietary restrictions. I ordered the tofu with veggies, and found a piece of meat in my dish after consuming about half of it. I brought it to the attention of the server. She assured me the dish is vegetarian but that the cook probably didn't clean out the wok after the prior dish. She did not offer to make another dish for me. I advised the cashier and was given the same apology without an offer to make it right. Meat makes me sick and causes migraines so this is unfortunate. Otherwise, the server was attentive and the ambience was good.

My husband and I have been looking for good Asian food since we moved to the area a year ago. We've tried several places and while they were OK, this is at the top of the list! The food, as my husband said, just seems fresher than other other places we've tried. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

This is definitely my new favorite Chinese restaurant! The food and ambiance are both fantastic. I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu!

The hot and sour soup is always a safe bet, and this time we also tried the steamed potstickers, which were delicious! With lunch meals, you get soup, a main course that usually comes with rice, and a spring roll. It's a fantastic value, and the restaurant is always clean with excellent staff. Highly recommend!
