Barley Mow Country Pub Dining Rooms

Booked a table for two on a Saturday evening. Very pleasant pub, plenty of space, the service was very good, the waitress attentive, and the food was excellent. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars everywhere is that my wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay, the said they did not have it and offered an alternative (Chablis). When I got the bill, this glass of wine was charged at almost £14. I do not doubt that it was a very good wine, but at this price it was not an alternative to a glass of house Chardonnay, and at a minimum I would have expected a warning about the price difference, when it was suggested as an alternative. Apart from that, a very pleasant evening and we will visit again.

A lovely venue and great food. We were a large party and service was slower than usual, but it didn’t matter as the banter flowed!

Excellent meal. Well served if a little slow. Had to send the bill back twice as it was incorrect but it was it dealt with courtesy

Amazing birthday lunch for my wife , greet food, good selection on the menu. We will be back for sure.
