Tacos La Placita - Oxnard

Cute, very quaint. Great food and excellent service. They had a special of the night that I ordered which was amazing! Pork cheeks with wilted spinach and risotto, Yes please!!

$23 to be unimpressed. Bonita fries consist of a variety of meats, 2 of which were burnt (not charred) asada and dry pastor. The fries were topped with burnt cheese, then the meats. When I say burnt I mean the cheese literally stuck to the fries, when melted it should become almost stringy when pulled apart. Instead the fries broke when I tried to get them with a fork. I either had to lift the cheese and flip it to even get to the fries or rip the cheese with my fingers because the fork couldn't get through. My partner got an asada burrito with a request of no rice. The nice gentleman who took our order repeated it back before asking for payment. Unfortunately, the burrito came with no rice AND no beans. Cheese wasn't inside the burrito, but instead on the outside. Burnt. There were 4 salsa options. The 2 green ones were both so salty that they made me make a warheads face. The best way I can describe the red salsa, which was listed as super spicy, is it taste like tomato sauce with wasabi. Did not try the peanut salsa. Ordered a mandarin Jarritos, but was given a pineapple one because they didn't realize they were out of mandarin. Do not like pineapple, but accepted it to not deal with a refund and felt bad because the people were nice. After tasting the food the drink just became the cherry on top to not have something to wash down the disappointment.

Yum yum yum . Food her never disappoints and there pretty quick with it . Horchata is the best I've ever had

Best barbacoa tacos ever! The burritos are made with cheese grilled onto the outside of the burrito. Def one of the best Mexican places in Oxnard!
