The coz... read more I can't believe I've been missing out on this place for so long! I recently had an amazing lunch at a small Japanese restaurant in an Oxnard strip mall. The cozy and inviting restaurant had a mom and pop feel with great decor and excellent service. The menu was larger than expected with a variety of options such as rice bowls, teriyaki, sushi, bento boxes, and more. I tried a few popular items and was impressed with the delicious miso soup and Alaskan roll. However, the real standout was the tempura shrimp rice bowl, which was full of flavor and had great textures. It was one of the best dishes I've had in a while. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes with my friends. This hidden gem is definitely worth a visit for some authentic Japanese home cooking. Highly recommend!

After a long day of work and attending a rosary service, we decided to have dinner here. Despite arriving just an hour before closing time, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The restaurant is always well-maintained with ample seating available. We ordered the katsu Don and a few appetizers, which were generously portioned and served promptly. While my go-to favorite is the salmon bento box, the katsu Don was a perfect choice for a comforting meal.
