Very popular Oxford restaurant, the menu is focused and has several excellent entree choices. The catfish and snapper were average for us but the fried oysters were great and so were the deserts! Great bar and overall experience. Highly recommend. View all feedback.
What Krystal K doesn't like about Mcewens Oxford:
My husband and I had never been, so we tried a few things and were underwhelmed with most of our food selections. Started with the crab cake which was pretty blah, not much flavor. My husband had the ahi tuna salad and I had the drunken chicken which we shared and the chicken was very basic and I'm not sure what the side was but I didn't even eat it, it was that bad. On a positive note the Mississippi mud pie dessert... View all feedback.
Service was fast and friendly. Food was excellent. Considering we are dealing with local covid restraints as to masks and reduced capacity in restaurants, a very good dining experience.

The photos online don't do it justice! The ambiance and vibe were calm and cool. Our waiter was excellent, and we absolutely loved the food. The complimentary rolls were scrumptious. I'd strongly, strongly recommend both the gumbo and the banana cream pie!
Excellent food and service. Our waiter was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He knew the menu well. Several of us had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked. I had the crab cake dinner portion (2 cakes), which was small but good with an interesting mix of tomatoes, okra and other vegetables around the crab cakes. Banana cream pie for dessert- several layers of smooth, creamy filling. We were in the restaurant on a night when the students were still on winter break so it was quiet and we had a nice, oval table at the front overlooking the Square. Reservations are suggested.
Nice restaurant, Great food, Good Service. The biscuits are amazing!! Got the Seabass delicious sauce was a little loose but tasty, $44, Filet cook to perfection, $45 Beef Braciole-stewed meat in tomato sauce and pasta dish $28 Good but interesting, 2 duck gumbos yummy $6, Crab Cakes very meaty with lemon drizzle delicious $36 and wine. Great Value, Great Quality, Great service. Our server was exceptional there from AZ going to Ole Miss. Really enjoyed our dining. Definitely a hot spot.
