What 872clarea likes about Old Parsonage Bar Restaurant:
Just perfect. I had two starters and a pudding as they looked so nice. It was a good decision. Scallops that tasted, sadly not always true at other restaurants, but really wonderful here. Sat outside in their little walled garden, what a treat. View all feedback. What Hilscot doesn't like about Old Parsonage Bar Restaurant:
We had a lovely looking afternoon high tea, but unfortunately it didn't taste as good as it looked. Despite a wide variety of food, the flavors were lacking. The sandwiches and cakes were bland, with dry carrot cake and soggy cheesecake. The scones were the highlight and saved the overall experience, earning a positive review on Tripadvisor. read moreNestled in a picturesque location, this restaurant boasts a charming atmosphere and attentive staff, making every visit delightful. While the high tea experience receives mixed reviews due to issues with flavor and vegan options, the scones are often highlighted as a saving grace. Other dining experiences shine, particularly with starters like scallops and mains such as Cornish sole, praised for their exquisite taste. The venue's historic charm, combined with generous portions and quick service, ensures a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended for those seeking both ambiance and delicious food, despite some concerns about high tea offerings.
