I was assigned a lovely table outside (t... read more I had little time and need for a quick lunch. I found Haus Thal by pure chance, entered, although it was bursting full. I was assigned a lovely table outside (the weather that day was great). I ordered a dish with fried camembert, it was...absolutely delicious, the service outstanding (even though it was so full). Families with children enjoyed their meals while the little ones went to a big annexing playground. I can only recommend this place

The hotel I was stopping in didn't have a restaurant but this was recommended. Its a nice little place to eat with traditional German food. I went for...the Rump steak which was a massive succulent piece of beef served in a small iron pan, with roast potatoes and a creamy pepper sauce. The beef was perfectly cooked. They had some traditional desserts e.g. Kaiserschmarm, but I went for vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate sauce which was excellent. The service was vey good and it was very good value for the quality of food I received. I would definitely come back here.
