Took my yearly cross country Amtrak trip, had a 10 hour layover in Ottumwa...easily the best donuts I 've ever had. The maple bacon bar, my SO 's favorite. So I brought 2 of them home to her...3 days later she said AMAZING!!!....the best maple bar I 've ever had, love the crispy chopped bacon, bacon in every bite ?. This was my first time visiting Main Street Donuts and I was excited because of all of the good reviews this place is known for. I came in around 1 PM today and there was only one tray of glaze donuts left and one cinnamon roll. Really nice place to grab a treat with kiddos. The people are friendly and a lot of selection for donuts and drinks. My little one loved watching the train go around the shop.

I don’t know if this is the sort of place where you have to get there early in the morning or what but I was highly disappointed when I came in today.
I have been employed there in the past when they FIRST were opening their doors and let me tell you you that these people o above and beyond for OUR donuts EVERYDAY!! They have the best attitude and are the kindest people. Amazing atmosphere the kids and I especially loved all their holiday decorations. My kids just were in “Awe”
