Second Cup Cafe - Ottawa
Second Cup Cafe
Description
The Bayshore café presents a bittersweet experience for patrons, with varying sentiments on service and product quality. While some guests laud the warm, attentive service and delightful drinks, others report underwhelming offerings, such as bland lattes and half-full cappuccinos. Instances of inconsistency in menu availability and customer policies further mar the experience. However, a cozy ambiance and a selection of comforting snacks make it a worthwhile stop. Despite the charming setting, several customers call for urgent renovations, citing outdated furniture and chipped dishware that detract from the overall experience. A visit may yield either joy or disappointment.

Feedback
This cafe is pleasant and the staff are friendly. However, the economy is tough and the inventory needs to be updated. The plate I was given was badly chipped and posed a hazard. The chairs are in poor condition and in need of replacement. Overall, the cafe needs a renovation. Parking is available across from the Apple Store. The mall location makes the cafe wheelchair accessible.
I went to the counter and asked about getting coffees, but received a gesture in response. I decided to order a medium cappuccino, but was disappointed when I received a half-full cup topped up with foam. There were no pleasantries such as "thank you" or "have a nice evening." Overall, the coffee and service were both disappointing.
We tried the hot chocolate and found it to be delicious, hot, and creamy! The level of sweetness was just right. The café is cozy and charming, but be prepared for slightly higher prices.
