Second Cup - Ottawa

Stopped in here on a trip to Ottawa recently. Good cup of coffee, but even better service. Very cheery and helpful staff behind the counter. Nice to start your day with someone who is in a good mood. Will return for sure.

The ownership recently changed on this location. The staff, which is mostly new, don't seem to have the same pride of ownership as the previous people. Service is not quite as good as before and they haven't been keeping on top of things like the milk and keeping tables clean. Hopefully, things will get better.

Very accomodating. I wanted at sugarfree chai latte and they modified the London fog to accomodate my needs. Awesome!

With a few exceptions, staff are friendly. Depending on time of day, the neighbourhood can be a bit sketchy but the restaurant itself seems to attract an OK crowd. Lots of people seem to come in for the WiFi. The food is mostly sweet baked goods but it is usually fairly fresh.

Regardless if you're going to this Second Cup or the one at Slater Street - their coffee is just average, about the same as the large chain from Seattle and there are really better coffee-shops around!!
