Description
Visit this Ottawa-based restaurant for a unique dining experience - choose your fish, how it's cooked, and your sides from the counter. The food was delicious, the seafood was fresh, and the calamari and shrimp were standouts. The casual atmosphere and attentive service made for a welcoming visit, despite the lack of decor. While the customer service could use improvement, the high-quality food, including sea bass and lobster, justifies the prices. A varied menu ensures there's something for everyone, whether you're in the mood for fish and chips or a seafood chowder. A must-try spot in Orleans!.

The food at this restaurant is amazing. Although the customer service was lacking, the sea bass, lobster, calamari, shrimp, spicy rice, and vegetables were all delicious. The prices may be high, but the quality of the food makes it worth it.
The owner should ensure that his employees know how to communicate with, engage with, and resolve issues for customers properly. One waitress was impatiently staring at our plates, eager for us to leave so she could seat the next customers. Two waitresses were chatting unprofessionally and disrespectfully about customers, laughing and showing disrespect. The rice arrived after we had already finished our fish and shrimp. The food was delicious and fresh, but it is crucial to prioritize courteous and respectful customer service for all clients, not just those who are acquaintances. After all, business is business!
This was our first time at this restaurant, my wife, my son, and I. We were surprised to learn that there was no menu and we had to approach the cooks to place our order. They had a variety of options available. We ordered shrimp (garlic and fried), BBQ swordfish, and side orders of potatoes and rice. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a meal this much. The food was amazing, not just good. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.
Located in Orleans, Ottawa, the hotel is in a strip room with table service and free parking. Fresh fish best. We ordered fish we selected Basa) and chips with a food content of fries or rice and a decent salad bowl. Well... for 1.5 to 2 people. Better add a supplement if two people share the fish and chips. The food tasted good, fresh and non-fat/oily. The seafood cahowder soup tasted well and filled out, the soup contains octopus, shrimps, mussels, Calamari. We didn't like the monkfish.
It was in the midday, mid-week. I went out almost again, then was greeted by the server that explains how the place works. There is no menu except a few scratches on the board, but you go to the counter where there is... a good selection of fish. You choose a lot or type of fish you desire, as well as the way you want to cook it, then you will be offered a selection of vegetables or salad, or (the best) frits. I chose Calamari, which was delicate and crispy, as well as for melting. Absolutely delicious, and will be back. Prices reasonable, good food, in a somewhat unorthodox environment. No fleet license.
