Description
This restaurant offers a range of tasty options including chicken shawarma, fish & chips, lasagna, and salads. However, some customers have raised concerns about inconsistent pricing. Despite this, one reviewer highly recommends the hangover dish for brunch. The atmosphere is casual, resembling a work cafeteria, with friendly service. The prices are a bit higher than fast food, but there are healthy choices available. With good food quality and pleasant service, this restaurant seems to be a hit among those who have visited.
Feedback
Excellent weekend brunch. Just happened upon the place and was intrigued because it advertised a waffle brunch and I'm a waffle fanatic. I recommend the Hangover (brisket, gravy and cheese curds over waffles).
At first I was reluctant to go here because my coworker warned me about their high prices and dodgy pricing. Finally I started going there to grab my lunch. They do make good chicken shawarma, fish & chips, lasagna, soup, etc. Usually I'd go for the salads. You can get large or small salad plate and choose several different salads and cold pastas. I have tried their sandwiches also. If you go very often you might get bored because the same menu seems to be repeated every week. The problem happened when one day I was asked to pay $10 for something that had only cost me $8 the previous two visits. Then I remembered the remarks about the dodgy pricing. I don't want to go there and pay the "not paying attention tax".
Food: So far, so good. I have eaten there twice. First time was quiche and kale side salad. Second time was attempted chicken shawarma. Good volume and flavour and freshness both times.Atmosphere: Work cafeteria/take out.Service: FriendlyPrice: $10.50 for lunch (without drink). Kind of expensive compared to fast food but at least there are healthy options.Overall: I will return
I had an amazing weekend brunch at this restaurant. I stumbled upon it in the square and was intrigued by their advertisement for a unique dish called the "waffle black". As a waffle enthusiast, I had to try it. I highly recommend the hangover dish, which consists of chicken breast, gravy, and cheese curds served over waffles.
Initially, I was hesitant to visit this restaurant because my colleague had warned me about their high prices and questionable pricing. However, I eventually decided to give it a try for lunch. They offer delicious chicken shawarma, fish and chips, lasagna, soup, and more. I usually opt for their salads, which come in large or small plates with a variety of options including different salads and cold pastas. I also tried their sandwiches, which were tasty. However, if you visit frequently, you may find the menu becomes repetitive week after week. One issue arose when I was charged $10 for an item that had previously cost me $8 on two separate visits. This reminded me of the warning about their pricing. I am reluctant to return to this restaurant, especially since they do not pay attention to taxes.
