Quaint, great rice. This place has been around for a super long time... I remember eating there around 10 years ago and the menu hasn't changed at all. They have a great rice dishes. Portions aren't too much to handle, and unlike other traditional pho restaurants in Ottawa they don't give you too much excess (i.e. herbs to go with your soups). I commanded myself through epp. it took 40 minutes to prepare only a small pho and it came with no ingredients in it and no taste. in comparison, other Pho sites around meat, bean sprouts, lime, siracha, noodles, sometimes other sweets. this place had only noodles and a sma amount of bark meat. On a 3 night 4 day trip to the nation's capital, our first night dinner landed us here at Pho Van Van2/5 for service, cleanness and ok food.
So I took my parents and husband here for lunch (primarily as a thanks to my dad for changing my snow tires for me - yeah my dad is awesome!).
