We've been going to Pho Bac since my son was in a high chair. It is far from the fanciest restaurant in town but the atmosphere is inviting, the service extraordinarily friendly and the food is truly wonderful. In fact, if I call in for a take out order and forget one of my customary dishes (or order fewer items if the kids are away) I'll get a "only 2 soups?" kind of question. If you like great food served in an unpre... What User doesn't like about Pho Bac:
Went here for a lunch with my boyfriend and his dad. It was the first time I had Vietnamese food ever. I must say I was very disappointed with this restaurant. First of all, the place looked very dirty and that doesn't make you feel comfortable when you want to eat. Second, I didn't like the food, it seemed very flavourless. View all feedback.
Very good vietnamese eating! food quantity or portion size is huge. very cheap prices. the staff is friendly but busy. Peak times could see delays. bun bo hue has a decent bark soup, but not excellent. bun cha ha noi is my favorite and has excellent pork balls. some dishes have many fragrant leaf salads, carrots, pear sprouts or cauliflowers of decent quality. Fragrances of leaves and some liquid taxi are overwhelming. friendly service.
I had a delicious bun bo hue soup (picey beef noodle soup) s02 at pho tuan on the other day and I think they would like it too. the restaurant is clean, the prices fair and the family that runs the restaurant are friendly. if they like my reviews, videos or photos, they give them the thumbs of the Pho-Tuans up
Great food. we had ph obama d deservec bicorporat and bún bò hu. everything was very delicious. very friendly family-run restaurant. recommend it if they are looking for good Vietnamese food.
Amazing eating. we're here to celebrate my birthday. the restaurant allowed only 2 tables with seating at the time of my visit. I ordered a han nói vermicelli, my wife had a vermicelli with homemade meatballs, early rolls and grilled garnel, and my daughter had a small pho with bark and meatballs. dinner was amazing. the Pho bread had great taste. I couldn't finish my dinner. it was so big, big enough to share between 2 people. the vermicelli of my wife had so much flesh and assorted crumbled. dinner for a family of 3 with only water and I also had one with to house bungalow bo hue came $72 with tips. every penny worth.
This place serves the absolute best Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef and pork soup) in town, hands down. They cook it the traditional way, clean broth topped with fried chili and lemongrass, not a spice mix like most other restaurants. Their Bun Cha Hanoi is out of this world and they’re the only restaurant I know of serving it this traditional a must try. Haven’t tried their actual pho yet, but have heard it’s great as well. Prices are amazingly reasonable.
