Good food, good service. Went for Pho with a coworker today, she had the chicken I had the Seafood, just what was needed on a grey windy cold day. It really hit the spot. The seafood was plentiful and cooked just right, lots of noodles yummy broth. Service was friendly and attentive and food was served very quickly given that the restaurant was packed for Friday lunch along with a steady stream of takeout. View all feedback.
What Dolores Wilkinson doesn't like about Oh Basil:
We have often had Pho Soup from here in the past and it was very good. Tonight my daughter wanted won ton soup and fried rice, we got it take-out, it was way over priced, The taste of both the soup ad the rice was...awful!!!! $38 for 3 won ton soups and one fried rice which ended up being thrown out. Will never return!!!! View all feedback.
We decided to try this place out for a quick bite to eat. It's walking distance from my house, and there isn't much to eat around here. My husband had the PHO which looked more appetizing than my pad thai. It was tasty but a little low on the sauce and veggies. The prices are good and the staff is very friendly. I was happy and full at the end. That's all I wanted :
Size Does Matter. A couple weeks ago I had shown up to work and forgotten my lunch at home so needed to pick something up locally. I was having trouble deciding what to get when I remembered reading a review on Oh Basil by someone in a similar situation. So I gave it a shot.First off I was surprised by the decor when I walked in. Considering its location I was not expecting it to look so good. I placed my order and waited. When I was handed my order I was a little disheartened by the size of the container. I had ordered the Dakao Vermicelli and what I had in my hands felt like it might hold a Big Mac, if you squished it a little. Upon opening it a work I was further disheartened when I saw the portions were half the size of what I would normally get for the $12 price tag. That being said, it did taste good. The pork could have used a little more seasoning and the spring rolls were more roll than filling. Overall I enjoyed it but it's far from the best Vietnamese I've had.Considering my other choices on a lunch break, this is probably one of the better ones around. If I were to go out dining though, I would most likely skip this place over.
Surprisingly good!. I wasn't expecting much from this place, but it turned out surprisingly good for food in a strip mall location. From the outside, it doesn't look like much but the interior is quite nicely decorated. I had the crispy sesame beef well cooked, the sauce was very good and overall manageable portions.
Never leave this place without trying the fusion roll and shrimp pancakes ... amazing appetizers
