Was Anonym at Jak's Kitchen a mag?
The menu had a smaller selection than we usually find for breakfast, but the food was incredibly delicious—fresh, unique, and visually appealing. We visited on a weekday for brunch, so we didn’t have to wait in line. Since it’s a cozy spot, we can see it getting busy on weekends. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back! View all feedback.

What Jas Y dislikes about Jak's Kitchen:
Tasty brunches your typical brunch offerings. It's a small cute place. I'd be happy to return if I was in the area.Wheelchair accessibility: Small area so not really an accessible space. View all feedback.

Should start by saying I have been going to JAK'S KITCHEN for brunches for over 5 years. I have never had any other meal, so this is based off the 20 brunches I have had. Today I went to have brunch and there was a clear change. They renamed it JAX Kitchen and tweaked the menu (removing some items, adding some items). I figure they must be similar, so I was excited to try it and see some of the new offerings. The wait wasn't too bad, and we were seated rather quickly (the place seats maybe 25 to 30 ppl). The service was good as usual, and we put in our order. I decided to try the spicy eggs (type of hash) and my gf ordered the quiche of the day. Once our food arrived, it all went downhill. The potatoes (my favourite part) were bland, undercooked and tasted more like McCain fries someone pulled out of the oven halfway through cooking. The quiche itself wasn't bad, but when all you get is a slice of quiche, a handful of sprouts on top and potatoes it's best that it's all good. The spicy eggs were awful. They were no more than those terrible potatoes, a few slices of sausage and two eggs, in a spicy tomato sauce with feta and few other items on top. It was as if someone was emptying their fridge and had one pan to cook in. The flavour was 90% tomato sauce, 5% feta and 5% sausage (if I could even find a slice). It is a plate I would advise anyone to skip, and I love a good hash. The worst part was the sourdough toast which were closer to a crustini than bread. I assume they were low on sourdough, or hated me, to serve that as toast. It just added to the dissatisfaction of the whole meal. I haven't given up though! I'm going to go back one more time and see if their breakfast sandwiches (called macs) remain amazing. If anything changes, I'll update my rating, but for now I would try somewhere else, or just stay home chewing par cooked potatoes. Fingers crossed it was just one bad day!

The food is excellent - lots of different options. The Benny's and omelettes are all fantastic. Great fruit salad also. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Worth waiting in the line up if there is one!

This is a hidden breakfast gem which uses delicious organic locally sourced ingredients. I ordered the spicy eggs and was very pleased. The gentleman seated at the table next to ours ordered two dishes for breakfast and I can't say that I blame him. The service is fast

My wife and I visited this restaurant for breakfast for the first time today. It's a charming little spot, but quite small, so it's best to arrive early to avoid any wait times. We were both very pleased with our meals, as well as the service and the overall atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place!

The food was incredible, and it’s a charming little place. The portion sizes were perfect. Their banana bread and homemade jam were the best I’ve ever tasted. The service was very friendly. I highly recommend it for a delightful brunch!
