I phoned in an order for a medium combinati... read more We read the newspaper article about this restaurant in the Citizen and since it was nearby we decided to try it out. I phoned in an order for a medium combination (regular crust) the same night (Saturday) that the article appeared and the restaurant was quite busy. It appeared some of the staff were still being trained but the owner/chef was very friendly and kept things running smoothly.The order was ready shortly after I arrived, about twenty minutes after the call. I got the pizza home quickly and put it in the oven for a slight re-heat. We found the crust to be as described in the paper, one of the best we have had, tasty and chewy. We found the "medium" to be smaller than normal and we would have liked more of the toppings. At $19.20 including tax it was at the high end for a take out pizza.We would likely try it again. We hope they succeed.

We test... read more The name is a bit odd (Pizza Pie) but this neighbourhood has finally found a replacement for Nicky's Pizza (an institution that closed a few years ago). We test drove the 3 drive through options for pizza (combination, pepperoni and a combo-with olives). The crust was fantastic - no cardboard crust here! The ingredients were tasty and fresh and the cheese was good without being the overdone gummy and greasy stuff that gets loaded into other pizzas. The price was great given the size of the slices. They have a robust menu from which you can order for pick up or delivery but this will be our Saturday lunch go to for the foreseeable. Nicely done! Good luck with the new business!
