For the La Machine event we decided to pick Atari to hang out, have some nice drinks and food and observe. It was a great choice! The service was a little slow, but acceptable and very friendly! The food was delicious, unfortunately it was inconsistent. My husband and me both ordered the same salad but an hour apart. I like his so much I wanted my own. It didn't come out anywhere close to what he received. The tuna wontons were to die for!In all it was a great experience and we will be return customers.
We came here for my friend's birthday. Despite confirming her reservation multiple times, they still forgot about us and did not have a large enough table ready to begin with. The decor and atmosphere is quite unique. It's got a gaming theme with a floor that's decorated with the old console theme but the overall feel is very posh. The cocktail menu is also unique with a variety of different but good options! There seemed to be a lot of theme with a spicy addition to them. I liked that they came in 3 prices ranges - $8, $10, and $14. They do NOT serve draught beer. The food menu is pretty limited but I enjoyed my salad and no one else had any complaints.Although it was a little cool on that evening, there is a rooftop patio here that would be a real draw on a nice day!
We went with family to Atari for a special birthday. We were lucky enough to get a table on the rooftop patio which was an amazing place to look at Ottawa - we could even see the Peace Tower! The food was amazing - salmon and beef tartare, lobster pot stickers, rillette and toast, amazing beef and chicken sliders, truffle mac and cheese and crispy wontons. We ordered a bunch of food and chatted, drank, and ate our way through it all. To finish? Deep fried Oreos, of course! Outstanding food and service!
This was the first time I'd been here. It was Canada Day and we noticed they had a roof top patio. It started fine with a quick reception downstairs and guide to our table. After that it wasn't so good. We had one drink menu to share and it took a while for our server to return to take our drink order. We had to ask for water and menus. He provided 1 menu taken from the table next to us. Although it wasn't overly busy, for a while it seemed like it was only him and the bartender serving on the deck and we waited for our him to return and take our order. The food didn't take long to arrive but the fries order was wrong. The sever said they were aware and that it would be corrected. The proper fries (with Truffle seasoning) soon arrived. Unfortunately, he never asked if we would like another drink.Overall, the food which is slightly different from other establishments is pretty good with decent prices, but $15 for a burger with no side and the poor service spoiled the experience. I doubt I'll return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Atari. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and with interesting flavour combinations. The cocktail menu was also creative and adventurous. The service was friendly and efficient. Thanks for a great evening, Tim and staff.
Atari provides a unique dining experience mixed with a vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, and creative cocktails. While some guests mention poor service and smaller serving sizes, others praise the fantastic food, elegant ambiance, and excellent drinks. The rooftop patio is a perfect spot for enjoying original Atari cocktails and flavorful dishes. With friendly service and a chill vibe, Atari is recommended for any occasion, whether it's a date night or a family gathering. Overall, Atari offers a fun and enjoyable dining experience in the heart of the Byward Market. A must-visit spot for food and drinks enthusiasts.

The food was fantastic and the drinks were delicious. We had a wonderful time. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very elegant, we enjoyed it. It's a great spot for enjoying food and drinks.
Overall, the restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere that I really enjoyed. The new setting was lovely, but the food was just average. However, the cocktails were fantastic and we had a great time. The service was also excellent. I would recommend this place.
Ambiance and food were great. We ordered most of the menu and everything tasted amazing
I found this restaurant on Google Maps, but was surprised to find that the menu mainly consisted of drinks with only a few appetizers. I ended up getting a drink and then left to find another place to eat.
The place did not have any variety in their menu. I was overcharged and the servers were too busy, I had to wave to get service. The music was amazing.
