We gave a pizza to a young Australian bloke who worked behind the bar in 2019. We bought it from Peppe's, but we couldn't eat it as we ate another one and we were too full. We hope he enjoyed it. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Royal Gastropub:
This place has decent burgers and an okay selection of beers. It's a bit busy and hectic though, so if you want a calm atmosphere this might not be the place for you. This place is probably ideal if you want to sample a few beers while traveling, or if you want to go out with a few colleagues. The staff was courteous but my waiter seemed a bit inexperienced and unsure. Might give them another shot at some point becau... View all feedback.
Drinks here before our train. Delicious Norwegian ginger beer and a Norse fruit gose for my SO. Lovely place.
Good little pub to kill time while you wait for a train around the corner. The service was great, but the food was not so good.
Stopped in for a late dinner while visiting Oslo. We were staying at the Thon Hotel Opera and walked over. This place is located inside Oslo Central Station and it's an English style pub. As is the custom in England, you find a table first and then place your order at the bar. There is a wide selection of beer including some non-alcoholic options. Be sure to remember your table number when you go to place your order at the bar. Your drinks are provided at the bar when you order and food is delivered to your table. I recommend asking for a tray to bring your drinks to your table. There is also a screen displaying train departure times in the seating area. Ordered the fish and chips, which comes with smashed peas, and a 7fyell ale. The fish was hot and tasty, with a light breading. The fish itself was firm and the accompanying tartar sauce was a good compliment to the fish. Personally, I could have used a little more tartar sauce but made do with the amount provided. The chips/fries were hot and crispy, and the server brought along a basket with ketchup, salt, pepper, malt vinegar, and utensils. The smashed peas were a real treat! Service was quick and friendly. A good, convenient stop while in the train station or staying nearby.
This Gastro pub is right outside the train station when you go in you expect to see a pub, but it is actually a huge food hall! It reminded me to Tampa newest food hall in downtown. Anyways, ended up getting the fish and chips it was delicious. They had a selection of beer to choose from. Afterwards walked around to see what else was around there was an Italian restaurant, sushi option a store that sold chocolate, L'ocitane and coffee shop.
Gorgeous scenery sitting on the platz overlooking the opera house. A nice spot to sit, people watch and have a drink before seeing a show
