I recently enjoyed a delicious meal with friends at this restaurant, sitting next to a warm fire just before Christmas. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered large platters of tasty Norwegian food, complete with lingonberries. It was a wonderful evening and I hope to visit again in the future. Kafe Asylet is an institution in Oslo found in one of the really old buildings in Oslo/Groenland. They offer a menu mainly of different burgers and an average range of beer. Staff is service minded and athmosphere is intimate but the place is very noisy. Ok for an informal gathering with friends. Not a place for business meetings or anniversaries. Alot of outdoor space. Friendly staff. and easy acces to public transport
Very cozy and nice place to spend time, but the glasses were not so clean.
Excellent eating (proper homecooked) and decent beer/drinks. ideal for a meeting point or a long drink with a good friend. super friendly and well maintained staff also.

Very pleasant atmosphere and gourmet quality smørbrød. good selection of drinks. the managerin and host strings makes the guest welcome at this charming place oslo. good location near the metro station grønland. highly recommended
