The handful of times a year that my husband and I travel to Toronto, we try our best to stop here for dinner on the way back! The service is very good, garlic beef is so delicious, and the sushi is always very fresh and carefully made. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tatemono Sushi Restaurant:
Walked in and it was empty. Still waited a few minutes for them to stop talking. Got seated. We wanted to order more and waited 10 minutes to get the waitress to confirm on iPad. After 30 minutes and 2 empty glasses sitting there they didn't offer more drinks. Finally we had to ask after 30 minutes. Waste of money. Food and service terrible. Won't return. Very rude. Didn't even look at us or talk. View all feedback.
Had an enjoyable meal with the family at Makimono. A couple of us had the all you can eat menus and others went a la carte. The menus are decent and varied. Sushi is really good. Other foods, curries etc are also good but not amazing. Portion size on a la carte menu is good. Selection options for those with dietary restrictions like my wife were very, very sparse.
We love coming here! They have a huge selection, the service is incredibly fast and the taste is second to none. We celebrated my daughter's birthday and had a wonderful time!
Where do I start!! So we are only partially vaxxed, so we knew that chances are we won’t be able to dine at this place but still we came!! The staff were so understanding and willing to help we were able to dine on the patio!! Exceptional experience. Our server Nancy made our night she was funny entertaining and super friendly! I might have told her that I love her!!! The food was pretty good to but along with the good service, definitely worth the money
This place has steadily gone down hill over the years. The decor and ambiance has held up but the sushi is basically fast food now. It is evident that there is very little care put into preparation and the quality of food is poor. There are many better options close by like Sushi Mountian.
I recently visited this restaurant, now named Makimono, for their dinner all-you-can-eat option. Compared to the lunch all-you-can-eat option, the dinner is usually better. Out of all the Makimono locations I have visited (Pickering, Ajax), this one is by far the best. The sashimi was delicious and buttery, with just the right amount of fat content. The fried rice was cooked perfectly and complemented the side dishes well, especially the chicken teriyaki. While the sushi and maki rolls were decent, they didn't stand out without soy sauce and wasabi. The staff at this location were friendly and attentive, ensuring quick refills and serving of food. Overall, a great dining experience.
