Some found the food to be underwhelming in terms of quality and portion size, with one customer feeling cheated by the cost of their meal. In contrast, others enjoyed dishes like the filet mignon and beet salad, with one person even hailing the coconut shrimp as the best they've ever had. The service received praise overall, with specific mentions of staff going above and beyond to accommodate special requests. Despite some shortcomings in terms of food freshness and variety, a number of patrons expressed intention to return for another dining experience.
The service was great and the meal we had done to our wish and overall we were very satisfied with the service and the meal. we have bought many gift cards for friends and related, and that was the first time we had a gift card to use. we had 150. the card and the bill were 140.0, we gave to the waiter our card and an additional 10.00, which was a 20. he returned to our table and informed us that the tipp could not come out of the card. he was embarrassed to advise us about politics. Of course we also have additional money for his. we feel that this policy is so wrong, as we were not aware of it and our friends who gave us gift cards would have added it.
A terrible culinary experience. very expensive so they can expect atmosphere, quality eating and service. none of them happened. I have unfortunately read other reviews and planned an appointment evening and would have been better to go to wendys or burger king. this is a ponderosa. in the 21st century with ridiculous trips for hard meat. Don't go away and go away.
After reading the reviews from all over the spectrum, we wanted to check it out for ourselves. Centrally located with plenty of parking, it is easy to get to. The service is a little lagging, but very courteous. At arrival, we were asked for proof...of vaccination, which is a big plus. We found the food to be good but not worth the $11-13 for the soup, or the $18 for the spinach dip. The main dish was quite good, but again not worth the listed price. I had the $32 Tenderloin Fettuccine and it would have been great at $18. My wife had the 7-oz filet mignon at $37. That was a reasonable price but the side of veggies could have been more spectacular (string beans and bell pepper pieces). Overall, a decent meal, but way overpriced. Big chains like Montana and The Keg would offer similar offerings for less. But in these Covid times, restaurants have to stay alive at half-capacity, so we will continue to encourage them.
We were disappointed by our recent visit. my husband ordered coconut shrimp and ate 2 before realizing they were not cooked, like completely raw. called server over and was offered a new order, he declined. nothing was compednon our bill, no manager csme to the...table it was treated as no big deal. hubby sent the night waiting for food poisoning, ruined the whole night. our meals were cold when broughtbto the table and the potatoes were so salty they were almost not edible. service was slow and we felt forgotten about. won’t be going back
Party of 4 for a Birthday on Saturday evening. My wife and I ordered the ribs. We both agreed that they were the worst ribs we have ever had! In one word, they were inedible! Our son ordered the striploin. I have seen better steaks...at the Ponderosa for $2.98. It also was virtually inedible. I ordered a mixed drink from the bar. I don't know what I was served but not even close to what I ordered. This restaurant used to be quite good, but it is now a total disgrace!! Do not waste your money here!
