I give Black Bear 5 stars for its fantastic and diverse selection of beers, the incredibly friendly and amazing bartenders, and the relaxed atmosphere. It's called "Orono's Living Room" for a good reason!

Been looking at the area for the last couple years to know their former Bangor location had closed few months before. Had high expectations for this particular location to end up disappointed... no online store, 10-12 taps while only having 2 house beers. Seems like their best days are behind them when the space has much protentional; When the fact that its in a college town, the campus only 1 mile away.
