What User doesn't like about Universal Studios Jake's:
We ate here because we had free vouchers. The ribeye was nothing special. The salmon and pork dishes were also just ok. Nothing to write home about. It was a nice touch that the chef came out to discuss an allergy. Honestly would not go back. View all feedback.
Checked into the Loews Royal Pacific and went down to the first floor to Jake's American Bar for a quick lunch and adult beverage. You can dine inside or outside which is nice. The menu has a nice selection of food items with something for everyone. The bar is fully stocked and the bartenders can make you any drink you want. The have a great specialty drink and wine menu with lots a great recommendations. The prices here are fair and reasonable for a resort. The staff here are very attentive and friendly. I had a good dining experience here and recommend to others.
I don't even know where to start. Jake's ranks in my top 5 worst restaurant experiences of all time. While there were some slightly redeeming elements, overall the experience was below poor and I will never be going back.We were seated immediately in a dark, carpeted room that plainly brought about memories of a nice senior living facility off the main bar and sitting area in what could optimistically be called a half full restaurant. It was about 5 minutes before we got water, around 15 20 minutes before our order was taken, and easily an hour before our entrees arrived lukewarm. Two of us ordered burgers but had our orders wrong, and both of our burgers (ordered medium) were cooked to death. I had sweet potato fries but they were chewy from skins being left on and undercooked, plus oily to boot.During the interminable wait for food, runners had no clue where food went and tried to deliver us other people's food two different times. There was a live musician in a separate room who wasn't completely terrible, but when he wasn't performing there was no music or ambiance whatsoever, further reminding me of a nursing home. The service staff wasn't terrible but was incredibly lackluster, with our server visiting our table a total of four or five times over the course of two looong hours. Also, I understand this is a hotel restaurant in a Universal Orlando on site hotel, but even so the food was way overpriced. You could get better food and better service literally anywhere in Citywalk or in the parks themselves for less. The cocktails and pretzel rods appetizer were easily the best parts of the entire visit, and the best I can say for them is they were...good.
The burger was good, but the truffles fries! All right! I couldn't make a picture, but my husband had the pizza that was good. My son had the tomato...
On the ground floor of the resort this is a great place for your typical American favorites. It is a large room with a large bar, really great staff and...
Eating was okay. Servers were good. Exceptional price for what is offered
