We visited Sugar Dough Bakehouse for the first time and this place was great! I love the atmosphere and especially the baked goods. We got an iced lychee tea, dalgona latte (unfortunately no picture of this), pistachio croissant, jalapeño/bacon/cheese danish, tiramisu cruffin, and a ham/cheese croissant. Everything was really good! I think the baked goods were better than the drinks (personally) so maybe go with thos... View all feedback.
What Kimberly Wilson doesn't like about Sugar Dough Bakehouse:
I ordered through Uber, and I've visited in person a few times. I was really excited for this quiche, because it is one of my favorites. So, I was disappointed when I bit into it and it was raw inside. I called, and they did offer to replace it if I came in, so i did appreciate that. But, I ordered from Uber , because I didn't want to go in. I'm just let down I didn't get to enjoy the pastry. View all feedback.
Sign says they close at 5, got there just before 4. Ordered then we were being rushed out the door, music turned off, pans being slammed, food put away, etc. We got the hint.
In 2023, this bakery seems to focus more on croissants and variations with the croissant dough. They no longer serve asian milk bread. Offerings are still tasty, but I prefer their cream puff location. Original review -They are an offshoot of Light on the Sugar further northeast, but serve different bakery goods. In this store, they focus more on croissants, muffins, etc. Not a lot of variety at this point, they probably need some time to settle down. They have good offerings, but not on par with the cream puffs served at the other store. Will try again in a few weeks to see how they have progressed.
BEST CROISSANTS IN TOWN! Literally this is as if you’re sitting in a bakery in France. Wowowow love you guys THANK YOU!
Cutest little bakery in town . Staff is always friendly and welcoming . They always have something new !
I’ve tried this place twice because I wanted to give a fair review. The first time I went was in the afternoon after 1pm. I was very disappointed with the little selection they had. My husband and I got the almond croissant, tiramisu cruffin, sakura latte, and matcha latte. The drinks were pretty good, but I felt like the pastries were underwhelming. I went back a few days later because they had brought back the black sesame croissant, and I live for black sesame. This time I went in the morning around 9:30am. They had a much bigger selection since it was early in the morning. I ordered the black sesame croissant, ube brownie, and a hojicha latte. The video they had posted on Instagram of the black sesame croissant showed it really filled with cream inside. I was disappointed to find that mine was not that filled. The little black sesame on the outside was delicious but the filling tasted like super watered down black sesame. You could barely notice it. I was very disappointed. The ube brownie was kind of dry. It had ube flavor but was underwhelming like most of the pastries I’ve tried there. I ordered a pistachio croissant, sakura croissant, and matcha latte to go to share with my husband. Both pastries were good. The sakura croissant was too sweet for me, but the flavor was very good. And it was filled with so much crème unlike the black sesame croissant. The pistachio croissant was delicious, from what I’ve, it’s the best pastry they have. Overall, I don’t think I would try this place again. Yes, they have a few good pastries, but the majority I’ve tried were just okay. I might be willing to stop by again when they bring back loaf cakes, or during the lunar new year though.
