This restaurant is a great spot for dining and drinks. The menu features small plates or tapas, with everything being quite tasty. The only critique is that the black dish could use a bit more seasoning. However, the meat was cooked really well and very flavorful. I would give it 4 stars, but docked a star due to the lack of seasoning on the Caribbean Hispanic dishes. View all feedback.
What Cara H doesn't like about Strong Water Tavern:
The food was served cold and the portions were small. The tables around us were not being cleared, and we had to change our chairs because they were dirty. Only one of the meat tacos had meat in it, the other was just salad. The vegetable curry was cold and didn't have many vegetables, possibly because it was served on a flat plate. The vegetarian dishes lacked flavor and variety. This was our second visit, but unfor... View all feedback.
I can’t express enough gratitude for the entire Strong Water Tavern team! Fernando and Julissa were instrumental in making my parents’ surprise birthday celebration a night to remember!!They were incredibly accommodating and communicative throughout the entire planning process. They, along with Luke and the rest of the team, ensured that our group of 40 people were well-taken care of with food and drinks and even live entertainment!Julissa gave us a tour of the fire pit and helped to ignite it so we can take some amazing family photos. Both Fernando and Julissa had a contingency plan in place for the weather and quickly adjusted by moving our group inside at the start of the event, which ended up being the best course of action given how hot and wet it was outside after the rain. To say that I recommend the Strong Water Tavern team and restaurant is an understatement! They are 10/10!!!
Amazing food, lovely surroundings, actually really good value compared to nearby Universal Citywalk restaurants (surprising giving its “in-hotel” location. Highly recommended.
One of the best hotel restaurants we have visited!Incredible service with great food and drinks as well. Sat down at the bar for a bottle of Belle Glos. Our server Destin was fantastic and was extremely attentive throughout our entire visit. The atmosphere here is great with plenty of views throughout the dining room.We ordered the charcuterie board as an appetizer and felt that it was a bit small for the price and the meats provided were quite small portions as well. The cheeses, espresso beans, nuts and other parts were fantastic, though. For dinner, we ordered the arroz con pollo, choripan and pork pupusas. We absolutely loved everything we ordered and highly recommend everything! The only thing to keep in mind is that the choripan is more of a dip-style entree where you build your own choripan with bread provided.Be sure to order the churro bowl for dessert! It absolutely did not disappoint. It came with a dulce de leche ice cream, but I do think the cafe con leche ice cream they have would pair nicely with this! The guava and cheese pastries were a bit light on the guava and cheese so I would skip these.Highly recommend stopping by for a drink, incredible food and some of the best service!
We somehow always get lucky with phenomenal service but I must say Todd is the best server I’ve had at any restaurant. When you walk into a hotel restaurant you may expect solid service and decent food but what we got was a personable and very knowledgeable server. He wasn’t afraid to give great recommendations and dive into detail on anything we had questions on. I would post picture of the food but I ate every last bite of it! Thank you Todd! Also recommend the Choripan (it’s the only one that isn’t an option in the recommendations)
What a great atmosphere with lovely staff and a special thanks to Kathleen who is very attentive and always serves with a smile.
