Slate - Orlando

Fate, our waitress, was fantastic, and it was clear that the chef prepares his dishes with a smile. The sous chef and line cook were a joy to watch in action. Slate offers a wonderful family-friendly atmosphere, and you can really tell that the employees love what they do. The customer service is excellent, making it an ideal place for families. If you're in Orlando, missing out on this spot would mean missing one of the best experiences the city has to offer. The staff is very diverse, reflecting the variety of customers who visit.

As for the food, it was generally quite good, but I encountered a couple of issues: my ribs were overcooked and dry, while my husband’s steak was undercooked. The service was also a bit slow, leading us to feel that waiting for another dish wasn't worth it. It was a Friday night, and it seemed like they were perhaps understaffed, as many places are on busy nights. Overall, it was a good experience! There were a few hiccups, but nothing that overshadowed our celebration. Thank you again for all your help!

Went to celebrate Valentines Day. We had a prefixed menus but the selection was pretty good. Great tasting appetizers both of us had grouper for the main course which was pretty tasty. Even though it was a very busy night the atmosphere was nice and cozy . James was wonderful...the whole staff is super friendly.

I visited for brunch and enjoyed it so much that I decided to have my birthday dinner there as well. Everything was fantastic. Whether it's day or night, the atmosphere is lovely, and the food is always excellent.

Love Slate so much! The whole staff always made me feel at home. The excellent menu from Chef Kevan, especially the latest tasting menu, has blown me away. The beautiful execution of dishes by Chef Ashley is always a treat! If drinks are your thing, they have it. My favorites are the spices so beautiful and cosmopolitan. Can't recommend this place enough Update 6. October 2021: There was this one pizza, spicy chicken prosciutto, which hacked me. Since then I have found the mushroom with shrimps to be excellent and will be my go-to!
