We love the food at Gators! Their drinks are also good and decently priced. They have a spacious outdoor space, but be warned, it is right on the lake so mosquitos are plentiful. Due to the nature of the place, there are often very loud frankly, obnoxiously loud groups, especially on the patio. The wait staff are generally awesome and service is usually quick. I have worked in the service industry for many many years and I would be remised if I didn't shout out this location. From top to bottom I had a great experience. It is the busiest day of the year for this location but it did not show in MY experience. The hosts were great, the manager was great and the bartenders were amazing. It was my first visit to this sports bar, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It's very family-friendly and has a nice beach vibe. When I arrived, there were multiple games playing on various TVs, which was great because it allowed everyone to watch what they wanted in one spot. We ordered some drinks and wings, which were probably some of the best I've had at a sports bar—the honey sauce was fantastic! The service was excellent, and I definitely plan to return to catch a football game with some friends next time. The view was also a highlight; my husband and his friends mentioned that the outdoor porch is even nicer when it gets cooler outside, so I'll keep that in mind for the fall. I do recommend arriving early, as parking can be a bit tricky.
I dined here on a Sunday evening and found the atmosphere lively because of the football game, yet it wasn't too crowded. We were seated right away, and the service was both friendly and attentive. We ordered 25 wings and a plate of fries, and to our surprise, it was quite filling for just the two of us. A special thanks to Riley for being so quick and efficient!
It's been a while since I visited this location, and I arrived just before the all-you-can-eat wing special. Upon entering, I was greeted by about four friendly staff members who promptly escorted us to our table. Danielle was our server, and she quickly took our drink and appetizer orders. As the restaurant started to fill up—thanks to it being a Monday and the championship game approaching—it was impressive to see the entire Gators team working hard. Danielle stood out in particular; she moved with purpose, remained attentive, and kept a smile on her face. Her positive energy is something you don't often see in the service industry these days.
The service was quick, efficient, and courteous, and the food was excellent. The restaurant’s location also offers a wonderful ambiance.
It's disappointing that this establishment doesn't open its indoor bar, particularly during the summer months in Florida.
